On 21 and 22 September 2023, the NSZL hosted the 9th edition of the EODOPEN conference.
On behalf of the NSZL, Rita Radó, Head of the Research and Special Collections Department, Research Organisation Division, welcomed the participants, followed by Judit Gerencsér, Deputy Director General, who opened the event.
The conference programme was presented by Iris Zöttl-Oberbichler, EODOPEN Project Manager. Among the main objectives of the organisation, she mentioned the digitisation and accessibility of literary works from the 20th and 21st centuries; facilitating access to literary works from the 20th and 21st centuries for blind, visually impaired and young users; and addressing the issues of rights clearance of digital documents.
At the beginning of the last day after the working group meetings and the reports on the project products, Szabolcs Dancs gave a lecture entitled „Different approaches to making digitized materials under copyright available to the public, and the reasons behind them”.
At the end of the meeting, the participants also visited the National Library’s Digitisation Centre, the library building and its exhibitions.
